Recently, we
were able to fly to Orlando for a little family downtime. Although it was tons of fun, I will say that
I have a greater appreciation for Elder Hayden and the heat/humidity of
Florida. He did tell us that we were in
Orlando away from the coastline which makes it better for him but to say it was
miserable at time was an understatement.
My testimony grew 10-fold at the commitment and dedication that our
missionaries have to serve missions away from family and comforts of home. Love him and miss him so much, but could not
be prouder of this young man. Enjoy!!
(no, we didn’t get to
see him while we were there… L)
Chapter 66:
1. The Book of Mormon
is the sickle we need to use
2. Why do you believe
happens after you die?
3. This is the magic
McDonald's
4. Sunset beauties
5. We found a castle
This was a great week! We started Tuesday with a great zone
conference! We learned about faith while finding, goals, the Book of Mormon,
and social media for members. We are underutilizing the importance and power of
the Book of Mormon. We were asked to share verses on the street after people
share ALL their problems like we are therapists or something.
The second quote is from an investigator Kelly who is super
elect. She asked "what do you believe happens after you die because I
believe that the body stays here and the spirit goes back to the God that gave
it life" literally as Elder Shakespeare was opening Alma 40:11. She is
very excited to keep learning.
Third, we went to McDonalds for dinner (sounds like me
right) and as we were walking in Elder Shakespeare said "this is the magic
McDonald's. Every time we come here something cool happens. As we were walking
in I held the door for a guy that exclaimed "Mormons right?! I've never
met a Mormon! What do you believe?" So we taught him what we believe, got
his address, (it's in Miami) and referred him to the Ft. Lauderdale mission.
Pretty cool stuff.
Here's a cool picture of a sunset
Also we found out that someone lives in a castle. Yup,
that's their home.
That was our week and I loved it. Love you all! Thank you for your continued prayers and support!
Love Elder May
