Elder May - Chapter 50

We along with Elder May have had countless miracles this week and we know that the miracles have come from our Heavenly Father and because of the sacrifice and service of our Elders.  WE are beyond blessed.  We love him, we miss him (especially with his birthday fast approaching) but we are oh, so proud of him.  Enjoy!

Chapter 50:

  1. You can get a lot more done when you have a car.
  2.  It's not often you take a member out with you to lessons and knock on doors from 2:30-9
  3.  Baptismal Interview, Baptism, Confirmation
  4.  Yes, we taught a man named Tank.
  5.  I got to teach someone else that speaks Swahili! He also has a date set now.

This week we did a lot of driving but it was totally worth it. We didn't need to go to Tampa at all but we did a lot of driving. We got to teach a lot of people as well and that's why I have the first quote on there.

Secondly, a member of the ward who comes to Florida to do spring training with the Toronto Blue Jays is a returned missionary of about four years and absolutely loves missionary work. He would
come with us more often but doesn't have a car so he can't come if we don't have the car. Anyway, this week we took him out for all of Thursday and we all saw miracles. We met with a Progressing Investigator named Semisi but before that we went tracting for a bit with the member. We met a couple of teenagers outside of their house and then knocked on the neighbor’s door. A lady answered and the member takes the lead in introducing us, inviting them all to church, and to learn more about the restoration of the gospel. She gave us her phone number and was excited to meet with again.

On Friday, I got to have my first baptismal interview as a district leader. The Clearwater Sisters found someone very prepared so I interviewed her Friday, she was baptized Saturday and got the gift of the Holy Ghost on Sunday. So cool.

Fourth, we met a gigantic man, named Tank, and he now owns a copy of the Book of Mormon and said we can come by anytime to teach him more.

Lastly is that last week we meet a man named Ochan who is from Nairobi, Kenya which is where President Monson announced a new temple but Ochan doesn't know Mormons at all? But we went to his house yesterday and went through the restoration in depth and now he has a Book of Mormon, and a baptismal date. Such great miracles.

Transfers are this week but Elder Swapp and I are staying and so is everyone else in our district. Nothing too crazy. Anyway, I love you all and will talk to you next week!

Love Elder May
